“Mid-life is when the universe gently places her hands upon your shoulders, pulls you close, and whispers in your ear: I’m not screwing around.”
– Brene Brown

Midwife for women in Midlife….
Menopause, like any life transition, has been challenging. It has surfaced parts of myself that need healing and growth. It can feel lonely and isolating, with shame and disbelief about the changes in my body, moods, brain, and emotions. The rapid onset of these changes is also surprising. This experience is akin to grief, as I navigate this major shift while dealing with changing roles and reshaped identities as kids leave home.
My journey has been a constant dance between determination and defeat. Seeing old photos, I mourn my youthful appearance, even though I didn’t feel good in that body either. I was anxious and made decisions out of fear, ignoring my younger self’s needs. I aim to appreciate my current body, recognizing its strength and health despite not being smaller.
I’ve dedicated myself to understanding menopause, HRT, and the changes in women’s bodies. Physical fitness is also a key part of my self-care. My foundation in perimenopause and menopause is strong, and I’ve explored exercise and fitness needs for women in this stage. Rethinking fitness and nutrition has helped me face lifelong body image issues and accept my new body. I’m connecting with women who share similar experiences, finding community and understanding in podcasts and platforms.
Brain changes, like shifts in motivation, patience, and memory, are normal but can feel like a loss of capability. Physical symptoms can interfere with activities, cause pain, and feel limiting in ways that used to be effortless.
Midwife you through…
In this season of life, it’s less about “doing more” and more about being more — more present, more authentic, more joyful. So many women I meet share these longings:
- A gentle space for reflecting on life’s journey
- The courage to create and hold loving boundaries
- Stepping fully into their most authentic self
- Seeking out experiences that truly fulfill the soul
- Building and cherishing deep, nourishing friendships
- Rediscovering the joy of play and lightheartedness
